Server shutdown

I'm not sure when the fees are due but at the moment I do not think that I will renew the server.

I am not playing games due to the fact that I am spending more time with my wife/grandaughter.
Most FPS members if not all have moved on to other games or just real life.
At the moment it's just not worth me spending the money to keep it running when I never play on my own server.

I will keep the website going and just play dod as and when I get the urge.

As you say theres no point paying for the server when you dont even use it.
BTW are you getting many visitors to the mapping.fps-uk.net blog?

a few visitors to mapping blog, when I get time I will spend some time updating it.I will keep the blog going for as long as I can

its a shame your shutting the server down i think its one of the best out there
if you want to play on a server now and again you can play on mine and i can give you admin rights to change map and so on same for the others
i'd like to say many thanks the for help that you gave me because i started my server on my own and had no clue what to do but now with your help i am happy with the outcome

i have seen a map i would like to use dod_ dogleg v8 would it be possible to use it or is it something you like to keep i thought i would ask because i have searched for the map and wpts but never found them

ps at the moment there seems to be packet loss on my server and yours but no loss on other servers so i sent a ticket to ukgame still waiting 2days now Crying or Very sad

if you want any maps etc from our server just let me know which ones and I will make available.

regards your packet loss, you might want to do a tracert to the server ip.
It might be the route from your broadband provider to the server rather than a server problem.

Many thanks for the offer of admin m8 but I think that if I play on other servers it will be nice not to bother with admin :)

The blog

It never really turned out how I wanted it to.
I wanted a site that had mapping information and people that were interested in mapping posting info but
due to the way that the blog works it was me doing all of the posting and content passed from people like Livewire.
The blog will stay for now but if I get the time I will replace it with something that is more user friendly to both users and anyone that wishes to add content.

In fact its only the server going not the clan so theres no reason for now certainly we cant all still post on here from time to time.
